The statue is a combination of a stylized woman, processed in an Ammonite. The shell shape gives it a secure character. The contrast between the elaborate female person and the fossil shell shape creates an intriguing image.

"zuchten van Gaia"
This image arose spontaneously during chopping. My only intention was to make a "floral" shape. Gradually there was a face, a hand, a tormented look. This image forms over the root wooden plinth. As is often the case with me, the penny falls on the meaning of the image only when it is finished; Ever since I was a child, I have felt closely linked to the fate of Mother Earth. "The sighs of Gaia" depicts the struggles of Mother Earth. Privately owned.
